Peony 2

Okay, this is the result of my challenge for today - a peony in colour.  I cheated a bit, lighting it with just one strong streak of sunlight and turning the flowerhead half away from the camera, so the petals were less of a mush.  It's not sculptural like yesterday's, perhaps a bit more veering in the direction of painting.  I would still like it to be better.

This afternoon has been wonderful here, very sunny and warm again - at last!  But why have I kept on thinking it's Friday?  Never mind, it soon will be, and then another long weekend for the UK.  What fun!
