Bench Mark..

Managed to haul some bullocks to fields down the road this afternoon.That's us just getting cattle out, meanwhile the next door dairy farm is busy on first cut silage ! They had the first field chopped by 4pm and on to the next.It looks a nice drop of stuff.
I pass this bench at the miners rest most days. The place has been called that since days gone by. However the bench has outlasted the pit by a few decades. The closest thing to a miner round here now are the ones that show folk round the mining museum at Newtongrange.
