On the water
This was from our boat trip last Sunday to visit my friend Pam, who has recently moved to our neck of the woods, yay! In fact, we can leave our house by the back door, get into a boat on our canal, travel down the Braden River, cross directly over the Manatee River to reach her canal, and there she is, standing on her dock waiting for us!! It did take about 50 minutes, but that's because the classic wooden boats we have use of, are not fast boats!!
We had a beautiful, slow, Sunday river ride and we also really enjoyed taking Pam and her husband out on the Manatee River and neighboring canals so they could see what it was like. I ended up with a lot of lovely photographs, but loved this one with the flag flowing in the wind. This is the back of The Helen Marie, Dave Lucas' boat, hand built by Dave. Steven stole the boat for the afternoon! I am adding this blip to the One Street challenge as this river is obviously often our street :o)
A couple of photos added to "extras" - Pam at her dock, Steve driving the boat and the wonderful birds we passed on an island en route to Pams!! (woodstorks & egrets)
Back Blip: Caught in the act!
