We are fully into construction now. The defunct fireplace has been completely removed. On the south side of the house the crazy makeshift walkway has been removed and a new sidewalk and new stairs will eventually be there. The entire backyard has been jack-hammered to remove dirt so the yard is level with the house. Up until now, the yard has been higher than the house, which has not been good on the lumber of the house.

The construction will be in two phases and we're hoping it will all conclude by Christmas.
