Not Porty People or Places

My 0630 taxi was delayed, slightly by the road closures for today’s Edinburgh marathon. 

My 0825 flight from Edinburgh to Amsterdam was on time, but rain.  all the way to Holland spoilt the view. It continued to rain as we took the big plane for the longer flight south.

This blip is taken after we had crossed  The Mediterranean Sea and the cloud and rain that had dominated north western Europe finally gave way to crisp clear views of the Sahara Desert, with  its centuries old sands, rippling some 38,000 feet below us.

Work begins early tomorrow morning in equatorial Africa. Depending on wifi and work commitments I will  try to blip, as usual, but commenting may be a little sparse until I am back in Edinburgh again on Friday morning.
