table tennis

today started with a 10 km bike ride to Isubilo. certainly a good work out! its an interesting experience...!!
once i got there i got on with more of typing up the kids records with specific reference to school grades and stuff. some of these kids have horrific stories to tell. well not stories....their lives. it made me feel so sad and angry that bad things can happen to such innocent children. there is no justice in this world.

today i got up to 126 out of 144 kids records done. final push tomorrow to finish that.
at lunch i enjoyed nshima with chicken and cabbage whilst sat on the grass under the hot african sun. one of the men noted that i was the only one of all the women sitting respecfully...with my legs together to one side instead of crossed or out infront of me...well there you go..thats two of us who learnt something new today!!

wednesday afternoon: the kids come to play and collect food suppliments. it was good to see some familiar black faces grinning at me! we enjoyed playing table tennis together. and i got beaten by a 13 year old, yes a 13 year old!! he was determined not to lose! let me just say that the guys here are awesome at it!

then i got on my bike and made the 10km cycle home. it was with anticipation this time....as there are two new puppies at our house. Banana went bananas with them...and every moment was cuddling them! i will admit it, they are cute! :) hopefully they will grow up to be good guard dogs for this place!

had a call from home. nothing beats it. much appreciated.
