Certain Block

We attended the USAvsRussia volleyball match at the CSULB Walter Pyramid after spending most of the afternoon picnicking on the grass out front. A new tradition has been established the past four years where fans, dressed in patriotic attire, come together prior to the match to play some volleyball, eat from food trucks, and generally get excited for the evening match. The match that evening was a quick, relatively easy 3-0 win for the home team behind big blocks like this one shown here. They are undefeated in their World League pool and have gained maximum points (12) so far. They play second place Poland, who is also undefeated but has only attained 10 points in their four matches, this coming weekend in Chicago.
