Beltane Day Two

The children of Peebles play a massive role in the Annual Festival.   All Primary pupils over the age of 7 or so get to dress up and take part.   At the peak is the Beltane Queen (a Primary 7 pupil) who is crowned come Saturday.   She has a court of maids and courtiers, also from the Primary 7's in the several schools of the town.

To be chosen for the court is a big deal.   Each one's house is specially decorated for the week (with a competition of course for the best one.)
