Drying Damselfly

A splendid day at Tarn Hows today - cloudy all day and a bit cool at times. A lot of macro and 'intimate landscape' shots.

Surprised to see a lot of bluebells still out, although they are getting a bit overwhelmed by the new bracken.

Found a few damselflies including this one that was very obliging and kept quite still on the top of a rotting tree stump. We think it may have just shed a skin and was drying out before heading off into the wide world.
