Dunstanburgh Castle

I have been discharged by my swimming instructor! She brought in the snorkel and mask, I had a go and did some turning over, floating and treading water, and she says all I have to do now is practice. So I must keep at it. She is so good I could relax so it wasn't hard, but it'll be different I know, in the sea.

Then I picked up my Suffolk friend Carole - we met on the CND bus going to Greenham - over 30 years ago. We went from the station to have a walk along to Dunstanburgh Castle from Craster. And the sun came out. The tongues never stopped as I'd not seen her since the election when her partner was an (unsuccessful) candidate. They had spent every moment campaigning for the last two years. They are now getting their lives back, hence her visit.

Tonight some friends are coming for supper. I'm doing chilled Avocado and cucumber Soup, Green Thai Chicken Curry then strawberries in Grappa with homemade strawberry Icecream.
