Walk to San Quirico

Today we had a10 mile walk. The taxi dropped us off part way then we walked through more pretty scenery, at one point having to wade through a river. My Merrill sandals were great and soon dried as we walked on up the hill through a muddy, wooded section.

The town is stunning, and we are lucky enough to be staying in the old walled part. The hotel seems to have several old houses with a few rooms in each as well as the main part where the lovely peaceful garden is. We relaxed there with tea and cake.

The festival of Barbarossa is taking place so it looks like we are in for a lively night.
