Boys slept well, but a frantic morning of dressing, feeding, packing so I could get them home and meet up with the guys for midsummer mountaineering. Baz, Nic and Shaz were chumming me to Glen Callater to establish a base camp for an assault on some or all of the Lochnagar munros.
Drove up then cycled in and dropped the kit at the Callater stable.

Then up onto Carn an t-Saigart Mor in clear but overcast conditions. We opted to do the southern spur first as I needed Broad Cairn from the 5, and it brightened as we wove our way eastwards. A bunch of people were out claiming an 11 lot - 0800 start at Creag Leachach, over Glas Maol onto Tolmount x 4 and then the Lochnagar 5. 45km all in.

We felt mighty guilty not bothering with more than 3 and were back at the bothy by 1930 for wine, pasta, laughs, midges and a very pleasant evening.
First Saturday off in a while. Much needed.
