Sleepover Preamble

So the day after the 7th birthday and the sleepover; both had wanted it, sooooo

Usual Friday AM, school run, supermarket then back to school.

From there we drove in the new wheels to collect G, and then back to mine.

Lunch, played outside, went to B&M and Poundies, and then back into the garden and the kids soaked each other in the baking sun.

Brief tension around dinner time but it passed; spoke briefly to her as she was heading out and then into bath bed etc. G def so happy to have a de facto little brother to bathe, to read stories to, but even when Alex was in bed, the remaining two were good as gold.
Tom eventually flaked out before ten, G tried to sleep but failed but eventually succumbed an hour later.

Frazzled but glad it worked; another benchmark day. We'll see how the fall out is...
