Busy Bees

6.15am this morning, I popped out into the glorious sunshine to see how the borders were doing.  The whole garden was alive with the sound of birdsong and bees, hurrying from one flowerhead to the next. 

These geranium are the most beautiful purple colour, which doesn't replicate in the photos unfortunately.  Anyway, the bees love them, and there were several different kinds busily at work.

Sadly, they were all too fast for me!  By the time I got one in perfect focus and clicked the shutter, it had gone. 

And so must I now, as lunch is over.
