Prom #2

Tonight Ben and Amy celebrated the end of school, at their prom at LVC. They were both surprisingly apprehensive about the evening but I hope you'll agree, scrub up pretty well.

...But the day started with Sam, the only one of the 10 other people that stayed here last night, to have to get up, and worse, go to school - on his 13th birthday!  Gulp -we now have three teenage boys!

Nanny and Grandad arrived at lunchtime so that Grandad could drive Amy and Ben to the prom (as he did with James two years ago).  The rain held off, Linton Jazz played and the crowds were bigger than ever before.  It was all good.  They finish at LVC at 11, and then go on to another party, so we won't see Ben until the morning.

The rest of us went on to celebrate at the Linton Tandoori - where we saw a lot of familiar faces.  Cake and singing after that and now off to bed to give us strength  to continue the celebrations tomorrow...
