Diary of an Edinburgher

Hamish the Hedghog

Very busy day! Dogborrowers arrived for Archie in the morning (we had forgotten about this arrangement even though it was clearly marked on the calendar, and was noted last night as part of the day's activities), visitors for lunch (freespiral, Himself and Freidaquilter), then dropping off Archie and all his stuff for his first overnighter with Emmi...

We had a marvellous lunch. Tomato and caramelised onion tarte tatin. (I wish I'd taken a photo of it before it was eaten - it was splendid). Followed by pineapple slices with mint sugar, fresh blueberries and coconut yoghurt. Finishing off with special tiny little Magnums! Yum yum. My contribution was the highly technical slicing of the pineapple...

Archie, the most photographed dog in the world, got camera shy, and kept disappearing and flatly refused to pose for photos. Too many people for this shy wee chap.

This is Hamish, Emmi's wee pet hedgehog. Very cute.

We're able to go off gallivanting this evening with no Archie...

But guess what - we can't bothered - a slonking evening is on the cards.
