My Life With Luna

Forest Bug

It's been a day for seeing unusual insects in the garden today.   I noticed this Forest Bug or Red Legged Shield Bug on the oak tree leaves.
The extras are larva of the Multi Coloured Asian Lady Beetle or known here in the UK as the Harlequin Ladybird.   Both so different but according to Google they are both larva.   The orange one was firmly attached to an oak leaf the other was on the shed door.
A really frustrating day today as I've bought a new strimmer/brush cutter which Steven assembled this morning and it started first time when he tested it.   He started it a second time to show me the sequence I should use.    After he'd left I decided to get on and cut back some of the reeds on the river bank and the grass and plants in my wild patch.   Would it start, would it heck - I could have wept with frustration.    So Ian is coming round tomorrow to see what I'm doing wrong - somewhere in the conversation I recall 'flooded carburettor' being mentioned.    Hey ho,  I am so useless with all things mechanical!
