Our last full day at Glastonbury but the Minx's foot is decidedly unwell. There is some talk of her not making it onsite today, which is unthinkable. We decide that some painkillers and another morning on the sofas is the best course of action and that is precisely what we do. By the late afternoon, the Minx is mobile, which is a small miracle given how she was this morning.

We head in and, as we usually do, buy two or three dishes from different stands to share, and have a bit of a mooch around before making our way to the pyramid stage for Alt-J. Last year, the Minx fashioned this wine dispenser from the innards of a wine box and a free rucksack from the Guardian. It's a very neat little system :-)

I've never seen Alt-J live before but this evening they were fantastic, everything I hoped they might be live given what I'd heard. Perhaps for the first time ever, I spend the whole gig looking at the big video screens and barely look at the stage, The metallic sepia tint to the footage makes it even more watchable. The highlights for me are 'Tessellate' - "Triangles are my favourite shape" - and 'The Gospel of John Hurt'.

After this we head up to the Park stage to catch the end of The Fall, who are far less uncompromising that I thought they might be, and then back down to see the Chemical Brothers, although in the end we decide to head back and just enjoy 'Hey Boy Hey Girl' as the soundtrack to part of our walk home.
