Things have gone wrong today... techie things... I am not happy. At one point this morning, these things were happening simultaneously:
a) the printer was refusing to print
b) the dishwasher was refusing to wash dishes
c) the email account was refusing to accept emails ('password incorrect')
Also, my computer is 'too old' (7 years!) and can't download the latest OS, so lots of things don't work properly...
The dishwasher played up yesterday, and today I tried the old computer trick - switch off at the wall and pull out the plug. Risking a back injury, I hauled the dishwasher out into the kitchen from under the bench... only the bench came too. The bench top is just sitting on top! It started well wooshing and making the right noises... but it didn't last long. It just stopped after a minute or two. A man will need to come and examine it this week. Drat.
My emails have been a problem for ages. Google keep sending me 'codes' on my mobile, and then they tell me it is an 'invalid code'. I think it's sorted now.
The printer responded to my hi-tech 'pull the plug out' solution, thank goodness.
Then - worst of all - my camera is playing up! YIKES! I was trying to take photos of Bailey and Archie playing, and it just refused to co-operate. My screen works for about a minute, then just shuts off. This is serious.
However, after we dropped Archie off with his wee pal Bailey (he barked excitedly and pulled on the lead all the way up the drive) we went to see the Escher exhibition. Fantastic. I loved seeing his wee sketches of how he worked out those intricate patterns. What a mind!
We had lunch at the Gallery of Modern Art (aka Modern One). The cafe gardens are looking just wonderful. Lunch is always good there - though I did note that the chocolate brownies are getting smaller.
A visit to the Apple Store might be in order...
This is a three photo stitch, hence the ghastly ghostly children...
No Wimbledon. :-(
