Diary of an Edinburgher

Livid!

Day Two of JR's retirement. And yes, she did go to school again...

But not till after we'd taken Archie up the Hill. He only had a couple of round the block walks yesterday, but still managed to sleep in till nearly 10 o'clock this morning. Gosh, he can sleep for hours. And I'm not far behind him.

At the Hill car park, some idiot had parked on the end, thereby blocking four cars parked correctly on each side. One chap was trying to get his mini out, and he was absolutely livid, to put it mildly. He was gone by the time we came back, but we noticed that the offending car and windscreen was smeared with mud. How very restrained of the livid chap.

Almost this view, away ahead, I spotted a wee black dog with floppy ears. Truffle? As we got nearer we heard Archie's name being called. It was her! (Though it was her mum who called for Archie, not Truffle.) I must say, Truffle is very very good at coming back when called or whistled, Archie.

On the way I dropped off my favourite old falling-apart-at-the-seams shoe to get fixed. They'll last me another decade or so.

This is a stitched shot. The stitching app on the iPad isn't as sophisticated as doing it in Photoshop, so don't look too closely. I loved the sky. And wee Archie surveying what he thinks is his domain.

Tennis this afternoon, for a change...
