Newts again

They are growing fast.  I'm getting catching Daphnia to an art!  I'm damned if I'll give the aquatic centre my money if I can help it.  

I had an ornithologist around this afternoon.  Someone has told them that there are House Martins in the are and their trying to find where their nesting. I showed him where they are going under the eaves here and another hole they are using on the farmhouse. It's strange that they're using holes rather than building directly under the eaves but he's seen that the birds going in and out so believes me!  

He's surveying a square mile and these are the only one he's found... I think this bunch are hole dwellers and he'll have to start again.
