Early Flowers

A few early flowers on the Japonica bushes have opened. They make lovely dabs of colour among the drab greens and browns of winter.

It was clear and sunny all day, and the temperature shot up to 5.5ºC.

I took everything out of the chest freezer, defrosted it, and then put a lot of the stuff back. The rest I dug into the vegetable garden. This is the first step in decommissioning the old fridge-freezer, consolidating the the stored frozen goods.
