Let's start at the very beginning.................
We did a food shop in Lidl, for the basics and fruit & vegetables, then on to Sainsbury's for the rest of the shop. On the way back, J dropped me at the church, as I had to drop a magazine off for Kevin. Everyone who calls into the church gets a grand tour by Kevin, and I find the true story of these blackbirds, very heart warming. When the church was being built, they came across a blackbird with two chicks. They halted the work on the building, until the chicks had flown the nest. I doubt very much if that would happen today. This beautiful stone sculpture, is directly above ,where we hold Open Church. There are some major road works going on not far from the church, and two workmen, who had been delivering a load of tarmac, came to the doorway, but wouldn't come in as they had dirty boots on. Kevin told them that wasn't a problem, and asked them if they would like to go up the tower and ring the bells. They were absolutely thrilled, and were going to call back later on. I didn't stay long, and caught the bus home. After having a coffee , J got the ladder to go up the attic, as I knew I had some curtains there for the hobby room. We manged to find them, and also sorted out quite a few bags of stuff for the charity shop. There is a lot more, but that's enough for today. Hope you all have a good weekend.
