Homecoming
I had a wonderful, spontaneous night out last night, surrounded by mum friends. All the better for being unplanned. Although the bar shut at 10.00p.m. and we retreated to a friends house for bubbles and silly 'mum'dancing. This also happened to be the same house where No 1 was spending the evening with her friends.
The mums were laughing and drinking and talking in the kitchen, I was dancing (alone!) in the lounge, and the 18 year olds were sitting in the dining room, in silence, texting people who were elsewhere.
I'm SO glad I'm not 18 in 2015. Where is the conversation!?
No 2 arrived home from her week volunteering in Lourdes. She was fed, she went straight to bed. Seems it was an exhausting week looking after the sick pilgrims. Her earliest bedtime was 2.30 am, her latest 5am! And here was me thinking she was going there for spiritual uplifting !
I'm glad she enjoyed herself, I'm so pleased she is home. She is already planning to go back next year.
Here's the group photo and my requested bottles of 'holy' water (wonder if it cures hangovers!)
