From the Top

Zugspitze, the highest point in Germany is very close to where we are staying this week. With the weather looking unsettled later in the week, we made the most of the sunshine today and made it our destination. We took the fabulous scenic cable car up and enjoyed a slightly giddy walk around at the top (well certainly giddy for me, Chris). The viewing platform at the top allows you to walk between Austria and Germany so the girls ticked off another country on their list of countries visited! The views from the top were spectacular even though we were regularly shrouded in cloud before it moved past us. We took a mix of cable car and cog railway back down again, none of the predicted thunderstorms put in an appearance thankfully. The blip is from the top, looking into Austria.
