Rain at last

After a very dry month, today it has rained all day. It was so welcome for the garden, but not welcomed by Normous who was playing golf, or grandson George who this week is acting as a board carrier at the Senior Golf Championship at Sunningdale. It was his first day yesterday and he carried a board accompanying three golfers for five hours. We were worried how it would be for him today in the torrential rain, but we received a "please come and get me, the day's play has been cancelled" text at lunchtime. He will be back tomorrow.
I took the blip of the buddlea out of the bedroom window because all the flowers are at the top of a hedge. Buddlea are said to attract butterflies, but they don't seem to like this white variety.
