Market Day

Every Friday in the Plaza de San Francisco vendors from surrounding villages come to the big city to sell their wares. It is a cornucopia of photographic opportunities, especially for people. The only issue is the light. The many etched faces are either in direct sun, like the woman shown here, or in deep, blue-tinted shade from the many tarps strung across the square. I persevered nevertheless and returned with some classic faces from this region. Next we have got to get out into the villages themselves.
