Sunrise from Cabane du Mont Fort

After last night's (take a look back) surprise sunset, it seemed only right to blip the even more impressive sunrise.
Waking to this I knew my group* were going to get a great day - three fabulous cols - Termin, Louvie & Prafleuri - starting with a sunrise traverse of the wonderful Sentier du Chamois - which lived up to its name as we had a stunning encounter with a herd of chamois closely followed with a real up close meeting with some big male Ibex.
Fortunately the river crossing in the Grand Desert was fun rather than dangerous and everyone arrived at the next cabane in high spirits, if somewhat tired.

*After my last group, this bunch are just (to use one of their favouritest words) "awesome", so full of enthusiasm and joy, funny tales and jokes, and a real pleasure to guide around. Laughter really is the best tonic.
