South Bank Reflection

We had a sunny breakfast in Kent, a lovely  lunch on London's South Bank in temperatures nudging 30 degrees with our youngest - the subject of my blip.  Later we walked along The Mall to see some of the hundreds of cyclists concluding the 100 mile cycle ride/race.

Even later we took the driverless Dockland Light Railway train to London City Airport. As we took off from the old city docks we had a view of London that reminded us of the opening sequence of TV's East Enders!

The short flight home was surprisingly bumpy as we encountered wind and rain on our descent into Edinburgh. The fast airlink bus and the faithful 26 whizzed us home in grand style to conclude a highly memorable weekend.
