You little Bug&&$£

We bought some lovely Lilies a few weeks ago and they were quickly destroyed. I couldn't see any Lily Beetles and someone said it looked like the work of slugs.
I put slug pellets into the pot around the Lilies and a couple of new flowers came out. They seemed ok but a few days ago the petals started dropping again.
This morning I was watering and spotted this this Lily Beetle, he'd been very cunning and hidden well but the water must have brought him out.

Needless to say, although I hate killing anything at all that lives, he had to go. Out came the insecticide spray so if he survives that he's welcome to eat the Lilies although I won't be happy with him!
