tucking into some dinner

I love this time of year when the Lesser Goldfinches come to eat the sunflower seeds off the flower heads. Their black and yellow coloring looks so pretty against the brown and yellow of the flowers.
This is one patient papa - he had two young ones with him who were screaming to be fed. I put a photo of him obliging in the extras today. 
And considering the acrobatics necessary to get the seeds, I can understand why the little ones need help!
