Reaching

G has been picking figs.  A really good crop this year, and we've been sharing them  because there are so many.  G tried drying some a few years ago but they didn't turn out very well.  He thought he'd give it another try and they're delicious!  I've never liked dried figs much but I really like these, so sweet.   Fresh figs, blueberries and cottage cheese has become one of my favourite breakfasts.  Still so hard to believe that we can grow figs here.  If this weather keeps up, we might even have a second crop!  (extra)
I like the way the shadows of the leaves look like they're reaching for G as he reaches for figs.
Lots of tomatoes ripening all at once so we might dry some as well.  We had good luck with that in the past.
Here's a report of an incredible grizzly bear encounter - we used to live a few miles from Kimberley!  Yikes!
