Poplars on the Track

Down on the lake side, just 100 or so metres from home there is the Millennium Track so named because it was officially started in the year 2000. This track has been extended in recent years and now runs all the way to Glendhu Bay some 13 km and is suitable for biking and walking. As it runs past the Edgewater Hotel complex the track is lined with Popular trees which provide a lovely green background in Summer, gold in Autumn and the framework for mono in Winter and so today's image.
These trees are quite old and they are watched for signs of rot and trimmed accordingly. There is something about Poplars that I like. The tall stately look and the wonderful range of colour during the year. They just look kinda neat and being a girl they are completely safe as far as I am concerned. I bet you are pleased to hear that.
