All Revved Up And No Place To Go

Well this was the closest we got to some speedway action this evening.

There's just something about Fridays & rain!

At least inF1 they can change tyres to suit weather conditions.

Roll on next Friday, when Newcastle come a calling.

Tonights competition should have come from Berwick Bandits but it will now be rescheduled for another date in the season.

However....

On Saturday there is an FIM Speedway World Championship qualifying round being held at Berwicks track.

Billed as the biggest event ever hosted at Bandits ground, it should provide some exciting racing. 

The track is currently covered with tarpaulin, to prevent the precipitation coming into contact with it, for as long as possible.

The forecast doesn't look too clever but I'd already taken the day off work so we could attend.

There's a 2hr practise session for all riders this morning and for a donation all those who wish to, can watch.

The money is for a very good cause.

Hopefully it won't be the only racing we see today.
