Eastbourne air show

Robyn and I decided to go to the free Eastbourne air display today, unfortunately we didn't leave until 11, and being free there were thousands and thousands of people there with a huge number of cars!! Eventually we managed to park on the verge near top of the cliffs overlooking the pier, which actually afforded the best view.
The aircraft were all very interesting, but the highlight for me was the Famous 'Red Arrows' display team......they were absolutely amazing!!! flying in tight formation, and swishing past each other at high speed...a real pleasure to watch. But better still was the finale, when two of the planes flew over us really really low, scary? - yes! Noisy? - yes! Amazing and thrilling you bet!!!
I have posted a general picture  for you for today, but in the extras I have put a shot of the planes in tight formation and a shot of the wonderful 'corkscrew' manoeuvre.
When we finally got home I found a Lime hawk moth larva with his bright blue tail horn wandering on the pavement looking for somewhere to pupate, so I have added a shot of him too
