House of Dun, near Montrose
Another nice day and another nice garden - and a lovely house to go with it too:-) This time we headed to Montrose (via lunch in Forfar) to visit the House of Dun, an 18th century grand manor designed by William Adam and inspired by the Chateau d'Issy near Paris.
The Saloon has the most magnificent plasterwork on the walls and ceilings and the whole house is elegant and refined. The Walled Garden is beautiful, with a rose "crown" in the centre and deep borders of colourful flowers all round.
I could very easily live here - and you are all welcome to join me:-)
