Sky high knee highs

Day off = day shopping. Well, it is my favourite hobby after all. Bought myself a pair of long coveted Stuart Weitzman boots in burgundy. Have been doing that thing you do when you got new shoes as a kid and haven't taken them off at home all night!!!!
Going to have to eBay half my wardrobe for these bad boys! But they are worth it.

Angus and I are off together for a romantic getaway at the end of the week and we're getting excited discussing the hundreds of books we are going to read, meals we are going to eat and movies we are going to watch! We'll be cramming it in! Think we might need to lower our expectations, mind.

Had a moment today when looking at the dismal UK weather when I wondered if we might be able to hop on a flight for two days instead. I was planning to surprise Angus but it would have meant three nights away from Squidge and given this will be her first proper stay away from home, it was probably too much. Ironically, it would have been worse for me I think!

She was adorable tonight. Very tired and very affectionate - she wouldn't leave my side from the minute I picked her up from nursery. But it made me feel bad for even considering three days away from her!
