Apples

Not  much happened today but that's OK, it was enjoyable day. Weather nothing special after a sunny start. Went swimming first, then coffee with Susan around at Doreen's (who's making a slow recovery)

Pottered a bit until lunch after which it was time for a snooze meaning it was gone 3pm before I went to the allotment to pick a carrier bag full of beans, some more courgettes, potatoes, lettuce, beetroot and cabbage. Then on to some local brambles to collect a kilogram of the finest blackberries (as well as numerous scratches and stings) with the aid of an old fashioned walking stick hooking over the branches to bring the tallest, choicest fruit within picking distance. Will be making some jelly tomorrow.

Time for a walk in the gloaming after dinner, across the golf course and around the Woodland Trust, the nights are beginning to draw in now. Snookered for a blip which is why it's a bunch of apples today.
