D's Birthday

D's birthday today so he took the day off, or rather, worked at home.
By 8o'clock this morning, I had got up, emptied the dishwasher and washing machine, prepped the coffee machine,  helped Alfie with his paper round and bought croissants and pain au chocolat from the co-op for breakfast.
It poured with rain all day so we didn't do anything else all day. I finished a book and snoozed on the sofa. It was so cold, I had to dig out a winter jumper.
We went to the pub for dinner and who should come in but local blipper and no. 1 Accelerants fan Ninja Shoe. D sneaked up on her and her gal pals and got a snap. Home for cake and a large glass of Calvados.
