First crop

A beautiful summer's day.

Finally some lovely weather - typical though, the day after the Scottish schoolchildren have ended their holidays!

A couple of years ago, Eleanor planted a dwarf Apple Tree in a large pot. This is the first year that we have had some fruit and they look delicious - though we haven't picked any, so not too sure what they will taste like. It is nice, however, to see the first crop - I don't remember ever seeing that in any of our gardens in almost 50 years. However, she who knows best is not here so I have probably got that wrong!
