Home brew

I visited my Mum today; she hasn't been well for a couple of weeks, she has problems with her knee (not helped by all the gardening she's been doing).

Both the doctor and I have instructed her to take it easy, but she doesn't listen.

She has taken time off work, but has substituted this for doing stuff around the house, including setting up her annual kitchen brewery, ready for Christmas.

She's given up with amaretto, as she had a couple of bad batches last year. So this year we have got coconut rum, peach schnapps and sloe gin to look forward to.

Brewing is a very scientific thing, the peach schnapps is the front runner at the moment; based on the hydrometer reading it's currently at 30% proof!
