Stooks

Noticed this field as we drove towards Huddersfield yesterday, and filed it under "blip another day". Since the sun was out and the sky was blue, today seemed as good as any - and we combined the little trip out with coffee & cake at the farm too... We're looking forward to next week, and the end of the "summer" holidays so we can be sure of a seat!
The main shot is taken with my standard lens looking south from the gate, the extra is with my telephoto from the other side of the field, looking north towards Emley Moor. Don't often see small stooks like these any more - the rest of the fields were dotted with the huge spherical bales that we have become more used to.
