Today's find

I went to a little park in the Sumter State Forest today just to walk the dog in a different location.  Since there was nobody there but me and the Gypsy dog, I didn't have to leash her up.  So we walked around a little pond  full of green algae  (yes, she had to get in and swim, it was yuck!)  but on the other side I found this flower growing everywhere.   It is a partridge pea. 

I also saw a purple flower, a spurred butterfly pea, photo in the extras.
A photo of the scummy pond..when the dog got out of the water she had a green coat, just like the photo shows.

Good thing I was prepared with a big towel.
