Cuddles make it better

My girl had a poorly tooth. The dentists battled over who should treat it. They passed her back and forth. Earlier in the year they pretty brutally pulled out her tooth that she had banged, making her quite frightened.... So when she woke up with a sore looking abscess, cancelling the day's planned cinema trip was a big deal. When paediatric dentist i managed to get to see her said he wanted to take the poor tooth out to relieve the infection, she was amazing. She lay on top of me on the chair and sat so still and brave. She cuddled in tight to me as the anaesthetic kicked in, then was amazing as he pulled it out. We had a huge snuggle after we left the dentist and she had her only little cry of the day on my shoulder.

We went to choose her a new soft friend and a treat lunch before we went home to snuggle with a DVD she picked in lieu of a cinema trip. She had a big lunch and more calpol, then bounced right back to full form. I couldn't stop her. She danced in her room, bounced round the house. She was adamant she wanted to swim, so I took her on the condition that if it hurt or bled at all she would be straight out. She did really well, holding her own against a class of 8yr olds!!

After swimming, we came home for a spot of piano practice before grandad & granny arrived for tea and a play. She was hyper!!
