Neebin Nellie Wins!

It's been a fine morning and sunny spells, a bit of a colder wind in the afternoon but it's been dry all day :)

After a good night in Unst, I managed to get up fairly early and into Julie's for a cuppa and chat.  I had walkies about Haroldswick with Sammy in the morning too.  After 12 noon, we all walked down to the Unst Show, which has been on at the Haroldswick hall.  Julie and the lasses had various items in and won various prizes too, even a first for her chickens.  Plenty of animals in the show, ponies, cows, sheep etc.  And spent some time in the beer tent too.  Yummy fish and chips and then back up the road.  Julie has had friends over and all planning  good night in the hall later tonight.

Various events have been on during the show and one of the popular events was the Chicken Race!  I was thinking this was going to be a fast race, but no, it was fairly slow to start.  Here's the mad dash to the finish line and Neebin Nellie won the race, leaving Muckle Minnie, Birlin Betty, Doitin Dolly, Hirplin Hannah and Trusset Tamar behind.  Mam, niece Elise and dad are standing at the back looking on.
