Homeward bound

Today we got up and packed away our tents. The car seemed easier and more efficiently packed than on the way here. We said good bye to old and new friends, and to the beautiful lake that we have woken up to all week. It was the warmest morning all week, the evenings, night and mornings have been very chilly, and the daytime very hot. I suppose that is the alpine climate.

And we are off! We have a 480 mile drive to Aarchen. We are staying at the budget Ibis. Which has a disco opposite - great! Windows shut air con on.

Great drive to the hotel, and out in the town for dinner. We ended up in a Greek 'restauant' I had veggie puzza which was broccoli and cauliflower cheese pizza - very novel! The boys had broccoli abd cauliflower cheese and pasta, not our best dinner but it wss an experience. On the way back to the hotel we stopped at an exquisite ice cream parlour. Yum yum yum!

Can't wait to get home and see Indie!
