This is what happens when you get rain and then sunshine and then rain and then sunshine....taken early in the morning when the light was dancing all over the lawn.

Is today officially the start of autumn? There was certainly a fresh autumnal nip in the air very early this morning, yet by the afternoon it was rather warm.

I went to the supermarket which was so busy, you can tell that everyone is now back from their summer holidays, all getting ready for school which starts this week. I had to smile at those wearing shorts and strappy tops, desperate to show off their recently acquired summer tans when actually warmer clothing was required. There's no point sweating in the sun all holiday while basking like a seal, possibly risking skin cancer, and then getting home and you cannot show that tan off, now is there?!

Luke's last week of working, he is delighted to have some time off before going off to university.
