New London Model

I've been meaning to visit the Building Centre in Store Street in London for several months because I'd read about a new scaled model of London that is on display there. I finally went at lunchtime today and it really is quite impressive. 

The model is at a scale of 1:2000 and measures 12.5 metres. It covers London from Acton in the west to the Royal Docks in the east - an area of 85 square kilometres. It shows every single building within the area, including some that haven't yet been built. The idea of the model is to record the continuing development and redevelopment of London.
