Southend

Is it a cop out to keep posting old photos??  If so, I'll apologise.

I've been looking for old photos for an upcoming event, and came across a few crackers.  This is Mr S (before the Wee Weegies), at his lodgings in Southend.  The place where, if you brought a woman, you could get into a nightclub for free! (Oh and it has a big pier too).

4 years in Southend and a long distance romance in the days before text and mobile phones.  I got a 10p phonecall every Sunday night from a phone box.

He eventually managed to get a job closer to home, and the rest, as they say, is history.
