Ear worm anyone?
(I could sing 'Right Said Fred' instead, for no reason other than a small visitor here last week heard it for the first time and caught (apparently) a very annoying ear worm. Apologies to the parents who had a four hour plus journey home with that one).
A back blip. (Computer? Don't start me).
A disappointing day of images.
The 'best' bit (interest-wise) was the little (blurry) verbena flower in the corner of this image. It was hanging on a very fine cobweb - looking as though it were suspended in mid air. I noticed the spider above it, in an artistic feat of a web, and catching the late afternoon sun most prettily. The spider began to make its way down the fine thread, with some purpose I felt. I stayed to watch. Upon reaching the little flower, the spider busied herself. Ha! I thought. She thinks it's a fly.
She wasn't so daft!
Deftly and swiftly, she removed the offending little blossom from her tidy web, cutting it loose to fall as captured. Having made good a repair, she scuttled back to sit in the middle of the web.
Job done. All tidy again.
She's a much better housekeeper than I am!
In other news I bought a pair of shoes from a lovely shoe lady in an old-fashioned Department Store (where did they all go when we weren't looking?).
I'm pleased with my purchase (foot still a bit swollen and the same old comfy shoes are becoming a bit boring).
Also, having watched the allium for weeks, thinking, 'I must catch some seeds'..
I forgot - and it's a bit late now.
